Looking For a Cure...

...For the Monday blues. (Or, Monday Socks!)


Sigh. It's Monday. Again. Seems like Monday happens more frequently than any other day of the week. I know that can't be the case, but sometimes it feels that way.


So, I'm working on making today different. In the absence of any photos (having left the camera at my Mom's when the nephew and niece were visiting this weekend), here's a list of knitterly things I'm happy about today:

• - I got an invitation to Ravelry! (I'm embarrassed to admit I had all but forgotten that I had signed up a while back, but am glad I did.) I'm making my way through it very slowly, so I doubt I'll report anything 'til next week at the earliest, but I'm sure you're already aware of their online tour, yes?


• - Summer Knitty should be up very soon. I'm hoping for today, based on the e-mail updates and Amy's blog--but she doesn't say specifically when. (No pressure. Really!)


• - The Summer of Socks starts in ten days, and I know I'll already have three sock projects lined up, thanks to the "Full Toes Ahead" sock club (the first installment of which may well arrive this week! I hope!--Again, no pressure, Hollis! I'm just excited.)


• - I just discovered that I have an inch and a half less to complete than I thought on the second of the Boyfriend Socks.


• - Even if I don't finish the Boyfriend Socks by June 21st, they are socks, so I figure they're fair game for the Summer of Socks. (Although I'd really like to have them finished by then, so I can start fresh. And it would be nice to have them done in time for his birthday.)

And, since this post is so sock-heavy, let's start a list of the socks I'd like to make during the Summer of Socks (knowing full well that it'll take me longer than three months to get through all of them, because--well, I'm slow.) I'll put them on the side bar, too, and add to them as I come up with more, but for now, let's start with:

• - Embossed Leaves (you have to scroll down to see them)


• - Widdershins


• - Aran sandal socks (thanks to the lovely pair Jo recently showed off on her blog) from Socks, Socks, Socks


• - Bazaar Socks (and mine won't match!) - Of course, these alone will take me more than three months each!

Does anyone else have any suggestions?
